There’s hidden things in our food that have no place to be there. We want you to be aware of these things, when they’re on the label, and when they’re not included on the label. Because every human has a right to know what goes into their bodies. Nobody’s health should be compromised unknowingly.

Whether you have any health concerns, conditions, illnesses or sensitivities or simply want a preventative approach to your health & wellness. In order to achieve optimal health, or allow your body to heal, it is in your best interest to avoid as many existing conditions from getting worse, or development of new issues or simply consuming harmful ingredients that can silently cause havoc in your body.

  • Artificial flavors are made in a lab. It’s a chemical additive. As much as possible try to avoid consuming it.

  • Canola Oil is mostly GMO and creates a lot of inflammation in our bodies. It is also damaging to your digestive system. Unfortunately, it is used in many foods.

  • Citric Acid as listed on packaged food labels has no nutrients, is a preservative, flavoring agent. As many Citric acid is made from GMO corn bred on black mould it is best to avoid.

    Citric acid the additives, is not the same as citric acid in citrus fruit. It can easily be confused. One has nutritional value, one does not.

  • Since farmed fish are often raised in small, confined spaces, it breeds parasites and other diseases, so the farmers feed the fish with antibiotics and treat the water with toxic chemicals.

    Wild fish is safer.

    Regardless of the fish you consume be conscious of the mercury content in larger fish.

  • Gluten is a protein found in many grains. The forms of gluten to which people are especially sensitive are in wheat, barley, rye, and spelt.

    Grains that contain gluten also contain multiple allergens and proteins that can trigger any condition. They create disruption and inflammation, especially in your intestinal tract and bowels. They also confuse your immune system—which is your primary defense against disease— and often trigger celiac disease, Crohn’s, and colitis. Eating these grains makes it very difficult for your body to heal.

  • Heavy Metals including lead, cadmium, mercury arsenic can be found in high levels in protein powders. Be aware of this and take note of brands that test for these heavy metals in their protein powders to ensure safe consumption.

    Pescticides and herbacides are also a common source of heavy metal consumption. It’s hard to avoid even on an organic diet. You can come in contact with heavy metals in your food, drinks (through aluminum cans) or foil and cookware.

  • Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a food additive that’s unfortunately used in many foods and restaurants. It causes inflammation and swelling. It also weakens and injures your central nervous system.

    While MSG may not directly be listed on food labels, look out for the following (as it usually means MSG is an ingredient).

    Hydrolyzed
    Glutamate
    Maltodextrin
    Malt extract
    Sodium caseinate

  • Although the word “Natural” is included, there is nothing natural about “Natural flavors”.

    Each type of natural flavors can contain chemical compounds. Here are some to look out for on labels.
